This mammoth website was over 6 months in the making. I took an existing design and fleshed out 40 more unique pages. The pages are all XHTML/CSS with integrated Flash animations (featuring their animated mascot). Additionally, some sections are PHP to allow deep linking into SWF files on the site. This site also features interactive tools (like a savings calculator), and updatable promotionals for the client.

Lucid Blend has been my main focus for over a year now. Great company. Great clients. We recently launched a new website. The original design was sketched out when I took the ball and ran with it. Several revisions later, this is what it looks like! There are thousands of lines of CSS that I intimately know and love (and curse). For a more in-depth review of my work, please visit Lucid Blend and dig through a growing body of work.

I am a doting father. This is the site of my son, Alex. Most of it was built in anticipation of his arrival before he was born! Since then, I've implemented an XML-driven slide show which is dynamically updated whenever my wife posts photos on the server. It's quick and easy to maintain, and the extended family can stay updated each week.

Yeah, yeah. I know what you're saying, "you put your own site in your portfolio?" Yup, I did. Here's why: This site is rapt in CSS / javascript. It's fun to learn new tricks. For instance, these pages have a browser sniffer that directs you to a specific stylesheet depending on your web client. Lots of other bells and whistles you may have noticed too. Go ahead -- look at the code. It looks scary, but it won't bite.
